Leaderboards enhance participant engagement in gamification by fostering a sense of competition and social comparison, motivating participants to strive for excellence and outperform their peers.
They create a dynamic and interactive environment, encouraging friendly rivalry and a desire to climb the ranks, thereby increasing the overall excitement and investment in the experience.
Additionally, leaderboards serve as a visual representation of achievement, providing participants with a clear benchmark for success and recognition within a group.
The leaderboard can be found in the Achievements popup
For clients with the Onboarding framework (or by special request) the leaderboard icon can appear in the top toolbar.
The leaderboard is shown as a popup. For administrators seeking a list of points per user use the dashboard Achievements report.

Leaderboard Updates
Note at the bottom of the leaderboard popup there is a Last updated time stamp. The leaderboard is a process that is updated every 15 minutes.
Leaderboard Customization
Number of Participants
The number of participants shown on the Leaderboard is 20 by default.
To extend the number shown please contact Hyperspace support with the desired number (recommended 50, max 100) include the world/space ID..
Date Ranges – Start Time and End Time
Leaderboard can be set to specific date ranges to exclude earlier testing or for future events to exclude prior.
Important: consider, any points awarded prior to a start date will not be included in the Leaderboard scores, so if a participant earned points before the start time they will not be included in their calculated Leaderboard score.
To adjust the start and end times for a leaderboard please contact Hyperspace support with the start and end times in GMT, your timezone and the world/space ID.
Exclude Participants/Staff from the Leaderboard
The Leaderboard can be set to exclude certain emails/uniqueIds (eg. specific staff, authors, presenters)
To exclude participants from the leaderboard supply the world/space ID and a list of email addresses or userIDs to Hyperspace support.
