LearnBrite glTF with SketchFab

Important! Please see this updated guide , the following guide is outdated.

Expand the variety of your spaces using 3D models from Sketchfab. Using the glTF 3D file type models can be downloaded from SketchFab. The models can then be exported in glTF and uploaded to the web for inclusion in your spaces.

Search

Visit SketchFab and search for a model.

Model Preview Quality

Models may not always look the same in Sketchfab as they do in Scenario, so we recommend trying these settings in the Sketchfab viewer before choosing to download a model.

Click the Model Inspector icon, depending on the Model you can either choose Base Color or No Post-Processing. The quality shown with these settings will be more akin to what the model will look like in Scenario.

Download

Upload

Unzip and upload the files to a web server

Add Item

Edit your space to add a new custom item. Provide the full URL of the .gltf you uploaded to your web server and it will appear in your space.

There is no standard for building objects so be aware of

  • Object size
  • Object origin point
  • Filenames containing spaces and other special characters

In this case the object had textures with “%20” (space) in the filenames and had to be scaled to 0.3 of its original size.

Enjoy!
