Collada with Trimble Sketchup 3D Warehouse
Expand the variety of your spaces using 3D models from SketchUp. Using the Collada .dae 3D file type models can be downloaded from SketchUp. The models can then be uploaded to the web for inclusion in your spaces.
Visit Trimble SketchUp 3D Warehouse and search for a model.
Choose Collada File option
Unzip and upload the files to a web server
Edit your space to add a new custom item. Provide the full URL of the .dae you uploaded to your web server and it will appear in your space.
** The .dae is loading ok and it is then loading the textures, however the item is not visible in the scene 🙁 Just an empty movable item seen below image as highlighted
There is no standard for building objects so be aware of
- Object size
- Object origin
- Filenames containing spaces and other special characters
In this case the object had to be scaled to 0.3 of its original size.
